Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Occasional Brilliance! Hit or Miss? Sting & A...
The Scorpions are one of the most successful bands of the 80's rock era. Many of the stars of that era pay tribute to the band on "Covered like a Hurricane." It's been described as hit or miss. Is this a hit or a miss in my opinion? The first thing you must realize when picking up this album is that George Lynch is the guitarist. To many that means you will hear fantastic guitar playing. To me, it doesn't. I'm not a big fan of George Lynch and doubt if anybody would hail him as a spectacular guitarist ... Read More

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Stung my ears, in the worst way
I am a big Scorpions fan and I looked forward to hearing this tribute album. However, I hated it. I think the arrangements are standard, the sound is bad and the musicianship is un-cohesive. George Lynch is a fine guitarist, but his work in this mix is lost and useless. The vocals were muddy and poorly performed but even if Klaus were on the CD it wouldn't save this garbage.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Lynch Makes This Album Worthwhile
I bought this cd soley because the greatness of George Lynch did all the lead guitar work on the cd. He does not disappoint! He incorporates his own signature licks into every solo on the songs. Some of the vocals are hit and miss, but still not a bad tribute album. Some of the songs covered are the lesser known songs that the Scorpions put out. In a nuthsell, this is a four star cd because of Mr Scary's awesome fretboard work!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Another Rockin' Tribute
If you like the Scorpions and you like the 'usual' tribute album artists, then make sure to add this cd to your collection. This is a very rockin' cd. Its a great selection of 'classic' Scorpions tunes however I would have changed a few but I enjoy hearing the great 80s metal artists paying tribute to a classic metal band.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Hit-and-miss affair
Unlike some tribute records, this one features the same instrumentalists on each track, only alternating vocalists. The most notable instrumentalist is George Lynch, who handles all lead guitar duties. Joining George are Steve Riley and Chuck Garric from LA Guns (on drums and bass) and John Morris from Dig (rhythm guitars).

Being that the band is the same throughout, I'll comment on that first. George sounds more like his classic self than maybe what one has heard on the last Lynch Mob ... Read More
