It's made of polished, magnetic stainless steel that fits tightly over the pan's edges to keep essential flavors and nutrients from escaping. It also has a small handle riveted to the top for durability. Like all All-Clad cookware, this lid is dishwasher-safe.

- Make sure you know your sizeI had the exact opposite of the last guy. I needed this lid but bought the 10 inch first. The 10 1/2 inch is what I needed for my stock pots. If you are not sure give All-Clad a call.
