Editorial Review:Product Description:For 1 or more players Simon 2 is the ultimate brain battle of fast reflexes and ever-increasing sound and light sequences...doubled! Play three classic four-lens Simon games, then flip to its eight-lens side for the four new Head-to-Head Double, Ultimate, Extreme and Counterattack games. Requires 3 "AA" alkaline batteries (not included).
Editorial Review:Simon says, "Would you like to play a game?" Or seven? With Simon 2, the next generation of the classic electronic sequencing game, players can play the traditional Simon challenges against the machine or they can turn over the unit for head-to-head play with a human opponent. All seven games are variations on the ingenious original: an ever-increasing sequence of signals, denoted by the flashing and beeping colored buttons, must be repeated by alternating opponents. Complete with nonscuff rubber feet, and powered by three AA batteries (not included), Simon 2 features adjustable skill levels on most of the games (a sequence of as few as eight or as many as 31, for example). Players who desire a dash of recall and replication with their reflex action will enjoy getting Simon, too.

As a child I loved original Simon. I recently purchased Simon2 and am deeply disappointed - it doesn't hold a candle to the original game.
The construction is shoddy. The yellow plastic is soft and scratches easily. The colored buttons are loosely anchored and won't stand up to frequent play. The buttons are not very responsive, necessitating repeatedly pressing buttons. The sound quality is terrible, scratchy, synthesized, and tinny. The little rubber feet keep falling out. It ...

This is a nice piece of work. It has great gameplay modes, I especially like the ones where you or a partner add onto the pattern instead of the computer. It is challenging to get large sequences (over 8,) but simple for small ones. It is very fun and cool.

The buttons get stuck after very little use, they are hard to push for little hands, unit gets stuck and will NOT turn off. It just starts making noise while just laying there. There is no way to just turn it off without removing the batteries. Not at all happy with this toy.

As I type this message, my husband is playing Simon2 with our two oldest children, ages 3 and 4. They have been at it over an hour and are still having a blast!
As a homeschooling family, we look for toys that will reinforce skills that we are teaching, challenge our children and that are fun! This toy has it all! Even my youngest, who just turned 2 enjoys playing this game. He is too young to really understand it, but loves the lights and music!
The older children benefit from ...
