Editorial Review:Product Description:Moon shoes are the original mini trampolines made for feet so kids can jump with anti-gravity effects. Plus, they help to develop balance and coordination. The wacky Moon Shoes are made of quality, high-density plastic, adjustable nylon straps with sure-footing and nonskid treads. They fit up to size 9 men's shoes and hold a maximum total weight of 180 pounds.
Editorial Review:Just as Sea Monkeys are not really a bunch of tiny pink people who wear crowns and hairdos and create ersatz civilizations, so too are Moon Shoes something short of a personal trampoline experience. Still, if you're careful and have expectations that are somewhat earthbound, these springy little strap-on sandals can be an awful lot of fun. Built for people age seven and up with a maximum weight of 180 pounds, the Moon Boots have adjustable bindings to fit up to a USA men's size 9. They are constructed of heavy duty plastic but the construction is such that the boots look likely to stay intact. As for how high they bounce, that's going to depend on the bouncer's size, leg strength, and bravery. And we would certainly recommend at least caution if not padding.

My son tried these at a friend's house and couldn't stop
talking about them. Just had to have them. Seems like it
is good exercise for the video game kid.

I got my first pair of moon shoes when I was around 8---and I LOVED THEM. My siblings and I played with them for many years. And the plastic IS VERY durable! We still had them up until 5 years ago when we decided to throw them out. The rubber bands are the only thing that doesn't really last, and I wish we would have taken better care of everything rather than leaving them outside to weather. You wear your tennis shoes, and strap yourself in with velcro straps (similar to the training roller ...

... if you have two children of different sizes to share the moon shoes, you have to add or subtract sixteen rubber bands, which is time consuming. Also, the dramatic price drop for this product after Christmas is frustrating!!

My son got these last Christmas when he was 8. I bought them with the idea that since we are homeschoolers (ie home a lot) in the northern US (ie inside a lot), these would be good for burning off some energy. My son is/was small for his age, so I knew that these would last him for a long time.
Our neighbor has a backyard trampoline and my son is rather proficiant and quite a dare-devil on it. When we got the moon shoes, however, I warned him that these were not the same as a trampoline ...

Pay no attention to the "how to return Santa's Toy" signature. I can't seen to remove it. as far as the shoes go, the kids looove these things. I can't understand all the fuss over these as far as people thinking they're dangerous. People talk about the potential for twisted ankles, broken wrists, head injuries, blah, blah, blah. I suppose their kids don't ride bikes, play on swingsets or run outside either.
To be honest, when I first saw these sitting on a shelf at the store, I thought ...
