- Perfect Lens ProtectionI use the B & W UV glass filters on all of my lenses. They do tend to be expensive but so are my Nikon Lenses so the match-up is needed! You cannot go wrong with these products.

About the filter, I am no expert, but after searching a lot, I concluded that B+W were optically at least one of the best and their MRC (Multi Resistent Coating) an aditional advantage. My doubts:

- GOOD PIECE OF GEARThis is a superior German product. I use this with my Nikon 18-200mm lens. Sure, you can buy a cheaper filter but you have to ask yourself why you would spend a lot of money on your lens and then use an inferior filter. It really doesn't make sense.

- Protected my nikon 18-200mm Lens in a fallThis is an excellent filter that protected my nikon 18-200mm lens when I dropped the camera onto a concrete floor at a busy subway station in Kyoto. The camera fell with lens facing the floor and smashed the lens cap into the B&W filter, cracking the filter into 10 different shards. However, once I took the filter off, my nikon 18-200mm lens was not damaged and there was not a single scratch on it. I use that lens for the rest of the trip without any problem at all.
