Introduced by Wayne and Garth on the set of Wayne's World, the Saturday Night Live: Halloween special collection is frighteningly funny. Mining SNL's history back to the good old days of the Coneheads and the Land Shark, this tape selects an hour's worth of the best Halloween skits presented over more than 20 years. You'll see guests such as John Travolta and James Woods put through their paces by the SNL cast--Travolta is hysterical as a certain Transylvanian nobleman trying to convince his victims that they are mistaken about his secret (they think he's gay). All the stars you love, from Bill Murray to Adam Sandler, make appearances to poke fun at the weird, spooky pleasure we all share each year. You'll get tips on making scary faces, ideas for cheap costumes like "Johnny the Human Torch," and a new outlook on vampires in the age of AIDS, plus plenty more ghoulish laughs in Saturday Night Live: Halloween. --Rob Lightner

Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - I enjoyed it, but wanted more
We love SNL, and Halloween is my favorite, I just wish there were more shows added.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Saturday Night Live's HALLOWEEN!!!
It starts out with the sexy, beautiful Gilda Radner being harrassed by the land shark on HALLOWEEN night. We see see John Travolta as a vampire trying to prove he's not gay. We see Pamela Anderson in The Twilight Zone. Martha Stewart, Matt Foley, and much more! If you love SNL and HALLOWEEN, you'll love SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE'S HALLOWEEN SPECIAL!!!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Some of the selections are not quite bright
I think I could do without "The Spartans" and the "Adam Sandler Costume Ideas" sketches. They're just annoying. But the Gay Dracula, Matt Foley and the Vampire Dating sketches make the DVD worth buying

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Saturday Night Live Halloween
I thought this Saturday Night Halloween was great. The best was Chris Farley as Matt Foley trying to convince the kids about Mischief Night. It was classic he was so funny and it reminded me as a kid going out on Mishchief Nite. The Gay Vampire was great with John Travolta and My son and his friends thought that Rich the Copy Guy was historical. We have watched it over and over again. It was done really well. People are going to really enjoy it.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - TOTALLY DISAPPOINTING
I'd prefer to have this tape custome, if possible. But since that's a pipe dream, you have to take what they dish out, and this DVD isn't something I'd want to buy if I had known it was so lame. I didn't appreciate or find amusing the Wayne and Garth commentary, and I can't believe they left out Richard Pryor's classic skit in which he spoofs The Exorcist, with Loraine Newman as the possessed girl. Classic SNL from its first seaon, and it was completely left out. Bogus, man!
