Editorial Review:

Product Description:
Take the pressure of yourself, and put it on your food! Pressure cooking is healthy, super fast, and now easier than ever thanks to this programmable electric cooker. Its 8 safety features include: a mechanical locking device, a zero pressure device (ensuring that the lid stays locked until no pressure remains in pot), a visual pressure indicator, an electrical locking device which means that unless the pot is located correctly on the base it won't make an electrical connection, a directional pressure regulator, a gasket release system which is activated in the event of any blockage in the vent tube, a multi-functional safety plug and auto shut off in case of inadequate water or an over temperature thermal cutout. There now, doesn't that make you feel like trying this baby out?

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - No problems with cooker
I have only used it once and had no problem with it. The instruction manual is VERY LACKING though. It was not very clear, for some one that has never used a pressure cooker before. The diagram pictures were very very small and useless for this 71 year old's eyes. I give the cooker itself a 4 out of 5, But the instruction manual only gets a 1 of of 5.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Poor Quality
During the first use, cooker started smoking from the bottom, which I assumed was just manufacturing oil being burned off. Continued to use but cooker wouldn't operate for more than 15 minutes without shutting off due to overheating. I'm surprised Amazon agreed to carry such a poor quality product.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - I didn't blow up the chicken!
My husband bought this pressure cooker for me almost a year ago and admittedly, I was scared to use it. Everyone has a story of 'someone' they know that used a pressure cooker and blew up dinner, having to scrap it off the ceiling. I grew up in a household that used pressure cookers so I was familiar with them but had never attempted it on my own.

This week I decided to take the plunge. I would not have felt comfortable using it without the instruction manual (a poster below rated ... Read More

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Burns to easily
I have had the cooker for a few weeks. I tried 2 different recipes (with plenty of water) and both burnt the bottom of the pan. I sent the unit back without cleaning it to show them the results. Maybe I had a faulty unit but until I see better results I cannot recommend this unit.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Awesome
Easy to use. Safe. All the bells and whistles.

Never had a problem with it - I've used pressure cookers for over 14 years (I think). This is the best one I've had - The timer cooks automatically. And then keeps the food warm - so I can do something else while it is cooking.

Customer Service Folks are real friendly (their toll free # has changed to 1-877-962-6887)

Recipe book has some starter recipes - it could use some more. I got a bunch of pressure cooking ... Read More
