- Works reasonably well, but priceyI added the ET64II lens hood after several weeks of shooting with the EF 75-300mm USM lens. Though I didn't often run into problems with lens flare (outside of when I deliberately wanted it for creative effect, that is), on several nature and plane photographs I found myself in need of a lens hood.

- Canon ET64II Lens HoodThis Canon lens hood works well and can be put on lens backwards for easy storage. Reduces sun flair when shooting on bright days. However the photo on Amazon's web page in incorrect. The actual hood has a flat surface on both the top and bottom. The photo shows a hood that is flat on the bottom and has several parabolic indentions on the top surface.

- High qualityI've used this lens hood for over a year. It fits on easily and firmly - never falls off. With this, you don't need an extra (UV) filter for protection of the front lens. When put on the reverse way, for storage, it nearly covers the entire lens barrel, protecting it against rubs from other equipment.
