Product Description:
What makes the Shubb capo so special? For one thing, its ingenious design: a patented locking action which provides an unrivalled combination of power, speed, accuracy and ease of use. One smooth flip of the lever locks it securely in place... and removes it just as quickly. And the Shubb capo doesn't create tuning problems. Its soft, resilient rubber is specially designed to work just like a fingertip, so it doesn't bend the strings over the frets. As a result, no re-tuning is necessary! Precisely machined of brass and carefully hand assembled, a Shubb capo is manufactured without compromise. Simply holding one in your hand conveys a sense of quality. Snapping it solidly onto a guitar neck, and then removing it, all within about one second, will confirm its reputation for excellence.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Chub nickel guitar capo (partial and full)
I've been through a lot of capos and this is the nicest one I've used. Once you adjust the capo, it just slips on easily with no further adjustment. You can tune through the capo, at least as well as you can expect which is never quite as good as with no capo. Once it's tuned, it holds the tuning well.

Regarding the "partial capo" that simulates DADGAD and open-A, it's an interesting idea, but anyone who is getting it to play songs they already know should realize that it isn't usable ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - One of the best.
If you are searching for a capo that only uses just enough pressure and does not have a spring like a bear trap. Well . . .this is the one. You can dial in the pressure you need in a matter of seconds, without ever stretching strings. One of the best available.

It usually takes two hands to install, but that's not a big deal seeing you can do this in seconds. Considering the fact that it will not cause your guitar to go out of tune, never gets in the way of your hands, very compact, ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Works great...
After using just about everything over the years, I tried one of these. It clamped on quickly and gave a nice clean tone. It has held up very well and shows no wear mechanically. I deducted one star for the following reasons: The finish has tarnished despite keeping it wiped down, it requires two hands to install it, and it has to be hung on the music stand or hooked in my pocket between uses in performance. However, these minor issues are not enough to keep me from sticking with it. A must have... ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent Capo
Make no mistake. This is an excellent capo. Experienced guitar players already know this, but for those who aren't, you can't go wrong. And yes, you can clamp this on your headstock. If the width of your headstock is different than that of your neck width, you may have to turn the screw a couple of times to get it to clamp properly. A slight inconvenience compared to the Kyser types, but you're getting a very professional capo here. Very compact and low profile visibility.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great Little Piece of Steal & Rubber
This is by far the best capo I have used. Far superior to Dunlop or Kyser spring-action clamp-on capos.
Use this capo for buzzless sound (Almost. Explanation below) It won't deaden the strings, either, like the cheap Kyser capos.
Clamp this baby on, adjust the screw to the correct tightness for buzz-free action, and play your heart out. You can even retune your guitar with the capo still on!
This is smaller in size than most capos and will not get in your way while playing.
