Special Features: Dean Markleyâs Artist pickup is once again a pickup which is so unique that it is patented. Housed in a maple wood housing, Artist Transducer gives you that sound that every professional artist wants. Through use of a lead differential weight the Dean Markley peizo reacts through compression rather than just bending, like all other Peizo pickups. This unique patented design gives Dean Markleyâs Artist Transducer its high quality sound at a price which is affordable. Artist Transducerâs special mounting adhesive allows the Artist to be mounted and removed many, many times without hurting the finish. The Artist has been on the market for over 17 years and weâve never had a complaint about it or the adhesive. The Artist pickup has many other uses besides amplifying acoustic guitars. Itâs a great pickup for Violin, Cello, Stand-up-Bass, Banjo, Mandolin, Piano, Horn, or practically anything else you would ever want to amplify. Weâve even had a mechanic use one to pickup (pardon the pun) knocks and vibrations in engines. The bottom line is: if it vibrates, the Artist Pickup will catch the vibrations. You do whatever you want with them after that.

Editorial Review:Product Description:When it comes to a pickup, you think of vibrations. A transducer pickup senses vibrations and conveys them electronically to an amplifier or a recorder. Players of acoustic guitars often get frustrated when it comes to connecting their instrument to an amplifier or recording device. The Dean Markley DM3000 is a pickup adapter that is uniquely sensitive to deliver the best of your acoustic instrument to an amp. There are nuances to vibrations and tonality. The DM3000 is the adapter you need.

I got them for my cello. I say them because live I use two of them in different spots, plus a mic. My cello now sounds amazing live... (well, better than before, and except for my out of tune notes!)...
Don't forget, you can literally record anything with these: stick them on an organ paired with a mic... put them on a bathtub... I like creative recording and I've found them very useful!

My 15yo plays Mountain Dulcimer. A natural wood instrument- This piezo pickup is topped by a bit of wood. It blends nicely with her instrument. nothing metallic or shiny/glitzy about it. We use it with a yamaha practice amp and it sounds lovely!

This little pickup was the perfect solution for amplifying my classical guitar. Most acousitc pickups are magnetic and use a magnetic field to catch the sound, so that left me with very few options for amplifying my classical guitar (for those of you who don't know classical guitars have nylon strings). This was one of them. I ordered one due to the inexpensive price not knowing what I would get, but I was very impressed at the sound quality of this pickup. After adjusting the positioning on the ...
