- A large, durable pot.I was pleased with the size of this Dutch oven. It is a very versatile tool indeed - perfect for frying, roasting, and stovetop cooking in large quantities. I cannot imagine my chili in any other receptacle. At 22 lbs with free shipping, the Amazon buy is a steal. As soon as I unwrapped it I cooked up a mess of collard greens. - a keeperI love this dutch oven. It's great for my larger recipes like a double recipe of Ropa Vieja or a large roast. It cooks the meat to perfection. It makes for a cool presentation at the table as well. The handle made it quite easy to carry (full of lots of delicious food)to the dining room table. I also have the Lodge color enameled cast iron 6 quart dutch oven. I'm sure I'll be enjoying them both for many years to come!

I have found it great for a small family as well as a large one and use it all the time. I keep it seasoned with vegetable oil and never a sign of rust. Very versatile.

- Tank LikeGreat Pot. Works great in many different applications. Can use it to cook in the oven, smoker, stove top, fireplace or over open flame.
Built to last. I give a light coat of Veg Oil after every use. Do not cover pot while not in use. Keep pot and cover vented. Moisture will stay inside a covered pot and start to rust the metal.
