- More a "Master Class" than a piano lessonI found this DVD to be more a master class with the excellent pianist Warren Bernhardt than a piano lesson itself. On some of the topics he covered, I only understood what he meant because I read a jazz theory book before and have been playing bass for over 20 years.

His three volume set supplies the self-motivated, intermediate pianist with enough instruction in jazz theory, reharmonization, improvisation, comping, soloing, etc., to last a lifetime. Given the various costs of private lessons, a bargain at many times the price.

- even if you've played a keyboard for a while get the piano one firstThis is for an electric keyboard and is good if you already know the funtionnig of your specific keyboard model(might I suggest reading the manual first) mine is the Yamaha DGX-205. I suggest getting started on his piano lessons as this details other instrument "settings". Usually the proper way to begin is with a classical instrument.
