- Great Little SkilletAs with my other Lodge products I was very satisfied with the quality of the skillet. And it works great for sandwiches and french toast. I even bought one for my son and son-in-law for Father's day and they were excited to get them.
I recommend this for anyone who ever grills sandwiches, fries eggs or french toast.

- It's Tiny!This piece is literally only big enough for a slice of bread. It's a sandwich maker, or maybe tiny square omelets. I thought it would be bigger... Didn't pay attention to the Size I guess...

- Lodge Square Cast Iron SkilletThis little skillet is the best investment I have made in years. It is just large enough for two people. Since my husband and I are retired it is the perfect skillet for corn bread for two or for a large "biscuit" that would be equal to about four regular sized biscuits. I have used cast iron skillets all my life and have many sizes but this one gets used more than any skillet in my kitchen. I would highly recommend this product.

- Regretable, inconsequential micro skilletLodge makes a slew of USA made cast iron products, most of which are quite useful additions to any kitchen, and a very few of which are simply wastes of resources, time and attention. Regretably, this little 5" square skillet falls into the later camp. It's "oh-so-cute", and yet, damned near useless, save for cooking individual eggs or heating a sandwich made from boring, bland SQUARE bread like Wonderbread. - I use it when I'm grilling... every time.Place a good amount of Crisco in the skillet, let it melt down, then set the skillet on the side... on a safe surface. Fold up a couple of paper towels, until it the paper towels fit in the skillet (fold about 4 times, into a square... the size of the skillet).
Then you have a great way to grease up the grates in on your grill.
I stick the "greased-up" paper towels to the bristles on my wire grill brush.
It works great.
