- Short rangeThe claimed range of 50' is false. I purchased three of these switches. They are all installed in an older home which would make re-wiring for three way switches difficult. Even so, I'm considering doing the work because these switches are unreliable, to use them you need to be standing in just the right spot or your body blocks the signal to the receiver and the light won't turn on. - Wireless switchIt always drove me nuts that I could not turn off the lights without running back to the top basement stairs. Can't enjoy the 50 inch with the lights on. This switch saved me a ton of money and time that I would have needed to add a second switch to my basement. It took about 5 minutes to swap the main switch and place the remote switch.
