Max ATF is recommended for all automatic transmissions requiring Ford Mercon or GM Dexron III transmission fluids and greatly resists breakdown from heat and loss of proper lubricity. Max ATF is fully compatible and can be mixed with other automatic transmission fluids; however, for the best results drain or flush current oil and then fill with Max ATF. Royal Purple Synchromax is recommended for manual transmissions that specify an automatic transmission fluid or motor oil. It is also ideal for transfer cases and 2-cycle motorcycle gear boxes. Synchromax is formulated with Royal Purples synthetic, proprietary Synerlec additive technology, which offers improved shift quality over a wide temperature range and reduced gear noise. - What a great product!I drive a 1996 Chevy S-10 truck with over 200,000 miles on it and a year or so ago made the switch to Royal Purple 5W-30 motor oil. I've been more than satisfied with the results and because of this I've been wanting to change my automatic transmission fluid over to Royal Purple for quite sometime.
Usually in auto parts stores, Royal Purple Max ATF runs about $13-$15/qt. However I found a case of it here on Amazon.com for an unbelieveable price, and even got free shipping with my order! ... Read More

- Got rid of power steering grind !!!!Most modern power steering systems use ATF fluid now. My wife's dodge caravan's power steering pump went out and I flushed the system and replaced the pump with a remanufactured one and used mopar ATF+4 fluid which was what was used at the factory, I assume.
