I got this pan in penne (ugly yellow, but it's growing on me) while it was deeply discounted. I would have liked to get a 4-6 qt dutch oven from Staub, Le Creuset or even Batali but this was relatively free.

I like the brushed brass look of the knob on the lid better than either the plastic Le Creuset or the chrome Staub. The enamel on the penne seems somewhat matte as opposed to glossy. Some may prefer this but some may think it looks cheap/unfinished. The interior enamel looks like ... Read More

I use this pot alot now, even to braise meat and make stew. Makes a great stove-top or oven slow cooker because you can regulate the heat. Easy to clean. If anything really sticks, we rinse rhe pot, sprinkle with "Kleen King" and soak a couple of hours or overnight.

I have this 4 quart saucier pan as well as two of the Mario Batali 6 Quart cast-iron with enamel pots with lids. These are oven safe!!! I believe up to 450 degrees. They are excellent cookware. I rarely use any other pots anymore. Heat retention is fantastic and they cook extremely evenly. Remember to use wooden (preferably) or plastic spoons with these pots as metal tools will scratch up the coating. Handwash and dry, no dishwashers with these!
