Easy Setup
The WN802T makes it easy for even a novice to set up a wireless network: just plug the included Ethernet cable from your LAN into the device and insert the included CD into any computer on the network, which will provide step-by-step instructions. The WN802T offers a myriad of placement options by including a stand for vertical placement and also a wall-mount kit.

The WN802T employs a web-based interface for configuration for compatibility with any computer with a web browser. The firmware is also upgradeable via the web interface so you can be sure your access point will always be up-to-date.

New Technology Means Blazing Speeds and Backwards Compatibility
The WN802T complies with the latest 802.11n draft specification which allows for speeds up to 300 Mbps; this maximum speed can be achieved when used with other TopDog devices. By utilizing MIMO (multiple-input, multiple-output) technology, the WN802T has speed and range far surpassing the older 802.11g standard. NETGEAR's Touchless WiFi Security makes it quick and easy to set up network security on a WiFi network by asking for a passphrase from the user. The WN802T supports WiFi Protected Access (WPA2-PSK, WPA-PSK), and 64-bit and 128-bit WEP encryption for 802.11b/g networks. - This access point is unreliable
We were using this access point at work since it's advertised as being capable of handling a "small business network." It works solidly for about 2 months and it began loosing connection once a week then progressively dying everyday at about the 7th month before even power cycling won't start it up. I received a replacement and that died in less than half a year. Nothing was done to have the product replaced again. If you want an unreliable product that could last give or take a year, go ahead. - DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM, IT IS JUNK.
My husband has a computer business and has purchased 5 of these devices for various customers. Each and every one of them have failed. Three of them within the 3 months Netgear will provide free support for and two of them after 1 year.

When they work they don't work so well, a lot of disconnects, and network not found. Working with support stated that too many wireless networks in a congested area will cause this. Understandable, but hardware failures are not understandable.

Mine must just be crap out of the box - It seems easy enough to set up yet connects to only another access point print server (when lucky - Netgear, this one was a piece of cake) not the network router/ wireless/ Internet (also Netgear Rangemax Next Gigabit)

Bought this on Netgear's recommendation to extend the range of a Netgear
wn834 wireless router. The router worked alright, but wouldn't reach the
200' I wanted to reach. After days of trying get the 802T to work as a Range extender, Netgear tech support (which I could reach relatively easily) came to the conclusion that due to an incompatability of the chipsets, the 802T would not work with the wn834 router!!

- Like many others this thing just died.
I've had two of these the first one just stopped working one day so we got another. (A fluke, right?) The second just died. Less than 6 months old and it's scrap. During the time that it worked, I loved it. Unfortunately, it's too expensive to consider disposable. Also unfortunate is the lack of a comparable product.
