- A great buy...This product is justifiably regarded as a best buy by Consumer Reports. As always, I found all of their observations and assessments to be correct. I bought this scanner to digitize a few thousand of my father's 35mm slides, many of them over 50 years old. The results exceeded my expectations. At four slides per scan, it took a few days, but I think I've already gotten my $90 worth. I can only give it three stars,however, because the attachment that permits scanning slides and negatives, which is of considerable importance to me, is poorly designed. This was my second scanner. The first was a second generation model from another manufacturer and it performed the slide/negative scanning in a far superior manner. - Great value and film resolutionI like this a lot. I've been using an Epson Perfection 1670 and this beats it by a longshot. I especially like the (4) 35mm slide copying capability. The highest resolution takes a long time but the quality is very good. For the price I don't think you can beat it.
