Editorial Review:

Product Description:
In fewer than five years, Rachael Ray has radically changed the way America cooks dinner. Her perky-girl-next-door swagger, her catchphrases for techniques, and her dinner ideology of simpler, less expensive and just in time have sold billions of books and placed her at the top of the talent heap of food television personalities. The unique oval shape of this Pasta, Etc. Pot means no more breaking long pastas and the convienent pour spout makes draining liquids from the pot easy. Nonstick Interior allows food to slide off and fat-free cooking. Grippy Silicone Handles are comfortable to grip and oven safe to 400??F. Glass Lids allow you to monitor foods without removing the lid.

Amazon.com Review:
A creation of television celeb chef Rachael Ray, this oval pasta pot takes a new approach to shaping that feels long overdue. Sized to hold 8 quarts, the deep oval pot is space-efficient on the stovetop, while letting you cook spaghetti or linguine without breaking the noodles. Hard-anodized aluminum for durability, the pan heats evenly and quickly, which is great for boiling a big quantity of water. A glass lid contains heat and steam while allowing visibility, and a nonstick interior makes food release and low-fat cooking easier. Surprisingly comfortable to handle, the pot features fun orange handles with silicone coating for heat resistance and a secure grip. Ideal for pasta, the pot is also great for soups and corn on the cob. It is safe in the oven to 400 degrees F, cleans up easily by hand, and comes with a limited lifetime warranty. --Emily Bedard

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Susan from Naples FL
This is a great Pasta & sauce pot as well as a stew pot. I love it. A friend recommended it, and I am so glade I bought one.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Fine for a pasta pot but not really much else...
I am kicking myself that I decided to buy this Rachael Ray version over Analon's original design. I figured I'd save myself 30 bucks. This pan is really thin and heats pasta water rapidly because of it, but it is horrible for soups, legumes, etc. Because the walls/bottom of the pan are so thin, stuff sticks and scorches very easily. It's best for pasta or corn on the cob.

I do understand that it being lightweight is a plus for a pasta pot, as it makes it easier to lift and ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great Pot
Second one I've Purchased. Loved it so much, bought one for my daughter for X-mas. It's a snap to clean and and pours very easily.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Do you still need a colander ?
Do you just drain the water from this pot or do you still need a colander ? I don't see a colander to match this pot.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Love This Pot
This oval pasta pot is really great. I've always used the traditional vertical pasta pot with strainer insert. It would boil over and the pasta would have to be broken to fit. I highly recommend this one.
