- Daughter with Down Syndrome
I got this product because my daughter's nasal passages are smaller than the average infant. She is constantly congested and it makes it hard for her to sleep or eat. It was easy to use and perfect for a smaller nose. I talked about it in a therapy group for children with Down Syndrome. No we are all getting or have one.

When I got this product, it worked great! It was a really quick way to suck all of the yucky out of my son's nose. I probably used it 5 or 6 times and it won't suck anymore. I've changed the batteries, but that isn't the problem. I have no idea what the problem could be--it's just not getting any suction. - Disappointing
Even though I read several negative reviews for the NasalClear Nasal Aspirator I decided to give it a try. I was desperate. My child is always congested and I was hoping this little machine would save the day. Well, sad to say, it didn't. It was ok for approximately 10-days but then it completely died. The music still works - figures!! It wasn't very powerful to begin with so this isn't a huge loss. Like I said, I'm just dissappointed, I really had my hopes up.

All I have to say is OMG, I wish I had this when my son was born. I am a self proclaimed nasal aspirator queen. Not only am I quite good at using a manual nasal aspirator, I actually enjoy extracting annoying mucous from my children. It actually works great, but I found a safety issue. The rubber nostril attachments pop off if the baby is squirming or grabbing at it and last night it fell off and landed in the back of his throat, we got it out without incident, but had I not been paying attention (he never made a sound when it landed in his mouth and it was 1 AM, I was pretty tired) it may not have ended so well.
