Amazon.com Product Review:
If you want a outlet you can turn on and off with a switch (for a lamp, for example) but are uncomfortable doing your own wiring, Heath Zenith offers you a simpler alternative in the SL-6136-W. Just mount the switch and plug in the receiver and you're done-no hardwiring required.

This set gives you up to a 100-foot transmission range, and can be used with up to 500 watts incandescent or 300 watts fluorescent lighting. Note that you will need to supply a 9-volt battery for the wireless switch.--Josh Dettweiler

Customer Reviews
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Not bad at all
Did what it's supposed to do, except that flipping the switch twice quickly seems to confuse the unit, as the second flip doesn't usually do anything.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - It does the trick
We bought our house after it had been partially renovated and then foreclosed on. They had combined two rooms to form a large master bedroom, and the light switch doesn't go to anything. I bought and hooked up this kit, and attached a lamp, and it did the trick.

Note that if you flip the switch too fast, the RF doesn't have time to completely transmit to activate or deactivate the light.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Works well....kinda
we purchased 2 of these thinking....like the write up says, that we could use 2 with one switch...I am sure you can, but amazon can not get specific channels. if you want to use more than one with one switch, better not buy these...you can't be sure you'll get what you need. The one switch we have does work and works well, but it is not working at the potential it could or for how we wanted.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Doesn't work with halogen lights
I bought this to use with a cabinet containing built in halogen lights. Seemed to work at first but then the lights started to turn on and off at Random. I called tech support and they told me only florescent and standard bulbs are supported. I will need to find another use for it.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Works as it you'd expect
Couldn't be simpler, nine volt battery in the switch part then plug whatever you want to the other part. In my case a hanging light from Ikea. I also put power strip and plugged a table light as well and it handles them just fine.

It looks like a regular wall switch and not too bulky. It's true what others have said that if you turn it on then off right away the switch gets confused (wont work) but not an issue at all. It's also a little pricey, but at least you know what you are getting ... Read More
