Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Good, short, conditioning workout.
I am glad this DVD is not a kickboxing aerobic workout.

That being said, this DVD may not help you workout to the point where you will break a sweat.

But, what it will do is help you develop overall, coordination, GPP (general physical preparedness) and provide a means to have a great short workout, when you are crunched on time.

This DVD will get you moving. People with neck injuries I would say to skip the neck exercises and substitute with something else, ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great for improving your stamina, strength and form!
Perhaps this DVD would be better titled "Secrets of Kung Fu Kickboxers" or "Kung Fu Kickboxing Conditioning". It's not a cardio kickboxing workout like Tae Bo, but rather a series of conditioning drills which will improve your stamina, core strength and form.

My only complaint, as noted by some other reviewers, is that the warm-up and stretching segments are a bit too short, but it's easy to use segments from another DVD, or just do your own warm-up and stretch.

I work out ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A Perfect Workout!!!
I love this DVD! You get three 20-minute workouts plus an intro. If you are new to kickboxing (like I was) please start with the intro and the first workout if you feel ready, then work up from there. The most advanced 20-min workout on the DVD is aptly titled "The Killer" and I am not quite there yet because it takes practice, but I am drenched with sweat after the intermediate workout ("The Kicker"). This is a perfect workout on "cardio days" if you like to lift weights as well as do cardio. It will ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great pace, good vibe, exercises that really work, likable personalities!
I have kickboxed competitively and I appreciated the legitimacy of the exercises and what they could do for you, whether you want to learn real fighting moves and technique or just want an effective workout. Since my husband and I also worked as film crew on another unrelated workout DVD that was high in quality and aesthetics, as well as a good workout, we were buying this for comparison's sake. We were pleased with the quality of this DVD, the Chens' explanations and tips, the pacing, and the options ... Read More

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Not great....I wanted to like it.
I really wanted to like this dvd. This is put out by the kids of William Chen, a famous Tai Chi boxer from Taiwan. For those unfamiliar with real Tai Chi, and have seen the slow dance that is better known, Tai Chi is a boxing method that often places in the bare knuckle matches that were common in Taiwan.
This dvd however is disjointed and lacks focus. Voice over is hard to hear and the breaks in the routine seem odd. I was expecting much more in terms of techniques given the lineage of the creators ... Read More
