We got this for our four year old for Christmas this year and she loves it! I think it's a really fun toy. it's more than just your regular hair styling head, which is why I chose to buy it. You can style her hair, and sing songs from the movie along with her into the microphone. It's more interactive. The animals even have sayings as well. - Fun but loud
As other reviews have said, the styling head is very loud, with no volume control. My daughter is 5 and does really enjoy playing with it though. She only wanted two or three things for Christmas and this was one of them. Since Amazon had it cheaper than other places and offered free shipping, we got it.

I was not keen on getting this for my 7 yo daughter but she really wanted it for Xmas...she has not used it as much as I would have liked her to...after a few dys it went in the corner.

I was suprised when we opened this that it didn't come with more to do. (i.e. eyeshadow, lipstick) I see that there is a fake lipstick in this pictures but ours was purchased at ToysRUs and didn't come with this (or it got thrown out with the Christmas wrapping paper!). My daughter just told me " I like it when she talks to me. And you can press her necklace for her to sing. And I like it when the animals talk. - My 5 year old's favorite xmas present
My daughter has enjoyed this toy so much, it's ridiculous. She doesn't do much styling but does a whole lot of singing. She's into Barbie and had seen the movie, so that helped too. The moving mouth on the doll barely seems creepy once I've seen her enjoying it so much.
