- Five Stars - A Simple And Comfortable Introduction to Basic Sign Language
This DVD - and the entire Signing Time series are wonderfully simple introductions to sign language. Even though the series was intended for very young children, Signing Time also provides a positive and non-threatening introduction to sign language for grandparents and others who want to learn how to communicate with a deaf child.

After too many frustrating years with NYC's public and private special ed programs, I decided to home school my special needs child. Despite being labeled non verbal by the school system, my daughter was refused instruction in ASL to aid her with communicatiion. Initially at home we worked from web site instruction until coming across Signing Time.

This is part 2 of what I already reviewed: My sister-in-law had purchased this video for her daughter who is now 1 year old. Her daughter, although not clear when she talks, signs all kinds of words. It's very cute and easier to understand than baby babble. My daughter, who is 3 1/2, loved the DVD so much that I purchased parts 1 and 2. She loves the music and the signing. I had taught her how to sign the alphabet when she was 2 and she caught on pretty fast. She knows how to sign all her letters! ... Read More

- Fantastic show!
My toddler loves this show and is soaking up the signs. We are up the fifth in the series already. We almost like this series as much as the "Bounce!" series (also on Amazon), but the "Bounce!" songs are a lot less annoying to parents. Both are great shows though, and signing is a great skill for kids. Highly recommended!

We just love this video for our daughter! She is too young to really do any signing, but we know that it will be of great help to her in just a few short months.

For now - she just loves to watch it. In fact, we cannot even mention the name of the video, or the names of the characters without her going nuts!
