My son (now 20 months old) is the active type--the very, VERY active type. A booster seat just wasn't for him (he'd throw it, stand in it and he even took a bite out of the soft kind) and forget about a high chair. We LOVE this booster seat. We got it for my older son when he was just over 2 years. It boosted him up to the table in a way that made him feel he was sitting in a seat just like ours. This booster is perfect for our 18 mo old daughter who is very petite, but ready to be out of her "baby high chair." The two available heights are perfect. The tantrums at the table have stopped and eating has become quite enjoyable.

Our daughter could not reach the table from her booster seat, and she was getting a bit old for the tray. We ordered this, hoping it would work on our chairs (square legs in back, round legs in front), and it does! She really likes her "big girl chair" and being able to reach the table. Ours is the chocolate, and it blends right in with our dark chairs. It is very flexible, so I think it would fit many types of chairs.
