TASCAM's MP-BT1 is the first MP3 player also designed as a fun and mobile bass trainer, with enough memory to store up to 240 songs. Parts can be slowed down, looped and even eliminated to help you to learn new riffs. Play back MP3s using Variable Speed Audition, which slows down the speed without changing the pitch, and sections can be seamlessly looped while practicing tricky passages. Songs can even be pitched up or down to match the tuning of your bass, so you don't have to re- tune for every song. The bass input lets you to rock along with multi-effects, including a bass canceller so you can play along with your favorite bands. The MP-BT1 uses a high-speed USB connection to load up MP3s and charge the built-in battery (an optional power supply is also available). Zip through your MP3 collection using a data wheel, dedicated buttons and a graphical LCD display. A rechargeable 9-hour lithium ion battery is built into the unit, and an optional power supply is also available. A tuner and metronome are also built- in. All of this is packed into an MP3 player smaller than a stomp box, so stuff it in your backpack, gig bag or back pocket and hit the road. - Decent little unitI haven't used this unit much since I purchased it, but from the little I've used it, it seems like a good device. Doesn't feel cheap or flimsy and the interface is fairly intuitive. Basic bass effects are included such as compression, and it sounds better than most headphone amps I've used previously, such as the Rockman Bass Ace (sounded good, but too cheaply made), and the Pocket Rockit (sounded horrible and accessing the controls is near impossible when plugged in). - The Bass Player ChoiceI have owned this for over 3 months - it is awsome. Recieved as gift from wife. That and the leather case she bought with my name from ValetStand com. This is the first time ever I can just clip on my trainer and jam. The leather case is a must.
