Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - superb sound and great value
Being a Juilliard graduate, I have a need for pure music reproduction. Living in New York City, I also have an absolute need for sound isolation in earphones, which can only mean sound-isolating earbuds.

Being a bit of a connoiseur of earbuds, I own the Shure E5C and SE530, Westone UM2, ER4 and 6. Because of the Klipsch legend in speaker design, I took a flyer on their Custom 3. They are superb.

I chose the Custom 3 over the Image because I prefer the buds that fit ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent In Ear headphones
I've had the klipsch custom 1's for about 3 weeks and i absolutely love them. I previously had some shure's that had broken, i really think the klipsch are much better made. The cord on the klipsch headphones are really nice, they're made of clothe. The problem i had with the shure's was the cord that goes over your ear started to break where it bent. I don't think the custom 1's will have this problem because of the pliable plastic over that part of the cord. I am not an audiophile, i'm just ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Amamzing!
Very important! You must find the perfect ear gel for your device. There are 3 different sizes in the package. Try all of this! You will feel the difference! First I was disappointed, but I kept trying and now I use the biggest ear gel. It's perfect! Sound really nice and powerful. It has a flex wire for a custom fit around your ear. It is really important, but a bit uncomfortable, especially if you are in your bed. You should keep an original earphone near to your hand as well...

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Perfect for what I need it for.
Nothing more than perfect for what I need it for...
AMAZING BASS!!!YOU CAN NOT UNDERSTAND WHY!!!Its so little...
I hate when people so picky about the highs for this lil things, they are just earbuds, what more do you expect from them...if you really need perfect sound, go for AKG K701~
this is a really perfect EARBUDS and is what you call a Earbuds not a headphone...
I prefer Image more than Shure E530, e530 is big, and hard to put them on the ear, every pricy and the sound ... Read More

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Custom-3's overrated
I get a decent seal and a decent sound. The problem is that these headphones cause some unwanted static on certain frequencies. I got them replaced and the same problem exists on the new ones that Klipsch replaced my old ones with. It's not so bad that I won't use them for entertainment, it's just that they aren't accurate enough for monitoring recorded music. Klipsch is great with most of their stuff, but the Custom-3's don't cut it.
