- Wait for the price to come downUnfortunately, this game fell well short of my expectations. I bought GH3 for my wife, and both of us loved it. So when this came out, we were really looking forward to it. But it quite honestly just isn't as fun.

The band mode and the bass mode are a great idea; lets you play with more friends at the same time.

After playing Guitar Hero III for the past year, the World Tour songs seem boring. The guitar parts aren't complicated even on hard level. It's like they tried to appeal to all the instruments by putting mediocre instrument parts to play. I was bored after the first hour. - A Mix of Strengths and WeaknessesHaving played Rock Band and RB2 at a friend's house for some time, we were waiting with great anticipation for GHWT as our first rhythm game purchase. I have to say that my feelings about the game are mixed now that I have played it a bit. I like quite a few of the songs, and I like the bass guitar and lead guitar parts fine, although they do raise the difficulty level from previous GH titles.

My guitars have beeng gather dust since I blazed through Aerosmith and this game has brought them back out to clutter the living room for an impromptu jam session. I have not yet messed around with the freestyle but enjoy all the new improvements that have been made as far as customization and gameplay. If you liked the rest you'll like this one. its the best so far.
