Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Too much dancing, not enough singing
I played this game three times, and I am selling it on Ebay now if that tells you anything. It is very frustrating. I bought it because I liked the idea of SINGING and dancing, but could not really get to sing anymore than one song OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN. I couldn't figure out how to unlock, or if you could even unlock to where you could sing anything else. It just kept me dancing, which was complicated moves for me--maybe I just can't dance. I went to the "academy" and tried to learn ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Shake your booty and sing your heart out, be a Boogie Super Star!
I have never tried the first version, Boogie, which didn't get great ratings. However, I can tell that this version is much better already.

The music is obviously targeted at the younger generation with the Top 40 type of music, as opposed to the oldies but goodies of American Idol 1 (not sure about AI 2 yet). The genres are pop, urban, and electrodance. When you play more often, more songs are unlocked at higher difficulties. Additional songs cannot be downloaded through Wi-Fi, ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Precious, and gets you moving
The good:

--Love the animations! Cute infectious dancers, make you want to move.
--Really good music!

The bad:
--annoying menu
--wii remote way to sensitive to having the perfect beat

I never played the original boogie so idk how this compares.

This game definately gets you dancing, tho. I like that the movements are fast, but repetitive enough so that you are getting exercise but don't change so fast that you have to think constantly ... Read More
