This is a big joke. The stool will not stay together if you move it at all. I tighten the wingnut every time we play. It's not a tight fit (wobbles a lot) and the stool doesn't set high enough for me to play.

You get what you pay for, and this cheap throne feels cheap. The padding on the seat is not great, and it shakes a lot while using it.
However, it hasn't broken after extensive usage, so it's definitely not a waste of money.

Lets be clear, you won't be using this to play the drums in your night band. This is budget drum throne, build solidly enough to support adults, but not something that is high in comfort or performance.

It's a vinyl covered seat, with standard foam padding. You will find the same construction type in something like a bar stool you would buy from target.

I bought this thinking that it would be a good replacement for the hard, dining-room chair I've been using to play the drums for Rock Band 2. When I took it out of the box, put it together, (which, by the way, wasn't at all difficult) and sat down in it, I was slightly disappointed.
