Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Nice idea poorly executed
The idea of this blanket is great; however, like another person said, it does not swaddle the baby nearly tight enough- my son would have his arms and legs out in less than a minute. He is a big baby but the newborn size was too large. We waited, hoping that when he grew, it would work better. Now he is over 12lbs and the tabs still go way past where they are supossed to attach, and he's outgrown the length. Save your money and buy some waffle weave blankets- they stretch and work much better- I was even able to swaddle my 9m old son in them {I had to swaddle him for a long time}.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Our favorite baby item !
My son has always slept better when swaddled, but he quickly outgrew traditional and long sized receiving blankets. This product has been the best sleeping aid for him, I only wish I had invented it!! When he is snuggled in this, he falls right to sleep. He naps more soundly and he will sleep a 6-8 hour stretch at night (he's now ten weeks old). When I try to put him to bed without it, he usually wakes up within 20-40 minutes fussy and still tired. The only downfall was that he did outgrow the small, but I was thrilled to find out they also sold it in large! It's fairly inexpensive and well worth buying more than one!

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Receiving blankets far better
This product is a waste of money. First of all, it is actually more complicated to use than the traditional method of swaddling with a receiving blanket. Second, if your baby likes stretching her legs, she will quickly kick her feet out of the blanket, as it swaddles somewhat loosely for a newborn (and our girl is not a small newborn by any means, at 8lbs 4oz).
Trust me when I say that you get the hang of swaddling with a receving blanket by the end of the first day, so go for the blankets, which are more economical and provide a much more secure fit.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - just get it !!
You will be happy you did, then you will want to buy extra!!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A great product
I love this product. I bought a pink microfleece one before my 4th child was born 6 weeks ago and after getting out of the hospital, sent my mom to the local Babies R Us to pick up several more in different colors for me (I ended up buying 5 total). I bought 5 because I hate doing laundry so I wanted enough to last more than a week, that's the only reason, not because I had any problems with the product's performance.

As for the person who called this a cheap knock-off, I think maybe they weren't using the product correctly. My baby was 7 1/4 lbs, 19 inches and the blankets have worked fine with her, no problems whatsoever even though she is quite a squirmer.

It takes a little bit of practice to swaddle, even with this product, though this product makes it much easier. I think this must have been the other reviewer's problem. Maybe the Miracle Blanket makes swaddling totally foolproof, I don't know, I've not tried one. If you are willing to put forth a very small amount of effort and practice, the Kiddopotamus blankets will work just fine. My baby loves them and so do I.
