- FantasticAlways one of my all-time favorite television shows. In the late 50's, early 60's, there were 3 programs that topped my list: The Twilight Zone, The Untouchables and The Naked City. They've finally come out with season 1 of the Untouchables, although they split the season into 2 volume sets. What I don't understand is Image is the same company that put out several DVDs of The Naked City. But they are not full season sets and 75% of the episodes have never been put out on DVD. It would have been nice if Image had done as good a job with that show as they did with The Twilight Zone.

- Fantastic SeriesFirst time i saw this show was in 1983,and they showed it late at night.
I was amazed at this series,which seemed to realy make you think.....what if?You watch an episode with all its twists and turns and at the end you would be suprized by a fascinating ending.
I couldnt wait each week for each episode,and i then found out some of my friends were also watching it.I remember we just sat around talking one day about the episode To Serve Man.We just couldnt get over how well that particular episode was made.
The show ran for about a year then,but i didnt see it again till i started buying the episodes on DVD.That was in 2002.Its great they are putting out alot of series out on DVD nowdays so we dont have to wait such lenghts of time till we see them again.
Now this series was filmed in black and white,but i realy think that it adds to the mystique of the atmosphere surrounding each episode.
If you purchase this season then you cant go wrong with this masterpeice work from Rod Serling.

- A falling off from season one and two, but...I concur with the reviewer who rates this as one of the low points from the TZ years with perhaps only season 4 finishing behind it. Roughtly 1/3 of the 37 episodes from season 3 rise to the caliber of excellence established in the first two seasons. Much of the writing from this season (e.g., Piano in the House; The Mirror; The Grave;) is a bit insipid and minus the unforgettable irony permeating seasons 1 and 2. This said, even the weakest episodes from season 3 are superior to much of what passes for good TV today and worth owning, particularly if, like me, you are an inveterate fan of the TZ, a well aged and enormously mesmerizing show.
