Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Very good...
I love this series but I was dissapointed with the ending... I hope there is a second season of Revelations to make up for the last episode!

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Revelations- What is there to reveal???
OK guys, you wanna know the truth????
The First DVD is really great, it would keep you all fastened up and thrilled on whats going to happen.. Later, its like..."What Happened" it just died down...going down and down..You know the feeling when you are reading a novel and the first 3 chapters is really great and later it just lead you nowhere?
This is it! Too bad I bought this dvd:(( if want something thats great for your soul... see "The Third Miracle" .

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - revelations is a good interpretation(not sure how acurate)
well some one wrote a bad review about it and for some reson never actualy watched the show so how can one make a legitimate review if you never actualy wached the show
well I have seen most of it and it was a good interpretaion of the book of revalations all the basics were there since no one can ever hope to understand the meaning of revelations since it was never meant to tell the future it was only meant to warn those who were in the future of what will happen in their time and only when the events come to pass will you recognize them for what they are and the second coming was not in this show that would happen after all of this the child in the show was the false christ(the anti christ) the one who can heal but not perminently and will claim to be christ when he is older.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Another Hollywood Entertainment Biblical Fabrication
If what you want to see is a secular adventure drama, then this movie is better than many but not as good as some. IF, on the other hand, you are looking to watch a movie based upon biblical truth, THEN FORGET IT !!!

This movie is as full of biblical distortions, fabrications, perversions, Hollywood license and outright lies as any that I have seen. To think -- many people thought that "Inherit the Wind" was a Hollywood fabrication !! I believe that the Bible states that when Jesus returns the SECOND time, that it will be in "Power and Glory", NOT as a helpless little baby that requires some nun to protect Him. I also believe that the Bible says that "Every Eye Shall Behold Him", NOT that it will require some mega-million dollar secular organization to find Him.

The move did make SOME truthful statements, however. Like at the end, when the nun says that both Jesus and the antichrist are in our midst. Jesus is indeed with us today in Spiritual power. The antichrist is among us in the midst of movies such as this, that insist upon glorifying the supposed power and ability of Man. After all, 666 is the "number of Man"

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - One Hot Nun Looking For Jesus
'Revelations' was a six-part miniseries recently shown on NBC. I was a bit wary of it as it was about religion and seemed to me that from the previews it might be overly heavy-handed. I didn't watch it while it aired but bought the DVD to give it a shot and I wasn't disappointed.

The story of the series basically goes like this: there's a rogue nun(Natascha McElhone)who enlists the help of an astrophysicist(Bill Pullman)to find a child who is supposedly the rebirth of Jesus. Now, just recently, Pullman's daughter was murdered by a Satanic cult leader(Michael Massee). Pullman found this guy, who was then tried and jailed. But even from prison, Massee is also looking for the Christ child but for much different reasons...Basically, the entire series is about Heaven vs. Hell...but on Earth.

I was pretty surprised at how well put together this miniseries was. It seems that a lot of television movies, miniseries, etc. are pretty shoddily slapped together but it seems that the makers of 'Revelations' really put in their time and effort. There was obviously no skimping budget-wise: the sets are immaculate, the special effects well done, and there's a fabulous cast. The script, apart from the occasional lame line or two of dialogue, is pretty well written.

The performances all-around are very good: McElhone is great as a sort of outside-the-box nun and Bill Pullman is okay as a distraught father, but the real gems here are the bad guys. Michael Massee absolutely steals the series away from everyone else as he chews through every scene he's in as the evil Satanist Isaiah Hayden. Also very good(and extremely creepy)is Tobin Bell, as Massee's evil lawyer. But I gotta say(though I am loathe to do so because I hate the man's music so much)is the very impressive performance of...ugh...Fred Durst. I hate myself for saying it, but he is excellent in a supporting role as a rhyme-spouting follower of Hayden.

Overall, 'Revelations' is very high-quality. The production values are outstanding, the performances great, and has got a solid story. There are occasional cliche moments(i.e. a main character's child is kidnapped, etc.)but for the most part is very enthralling(the episodes fly by). I was pleased that the makers did not feel the need to spark some sort of romance between McElhone and Pullman. It was nice to not have the requisite "love interest" for once. 'Revelations' does get preachy now and then, but never overly so. This is well worth watching. The ending leaves it open for a sequel and I would be more than happy to see one.
