Rating: - Good dancers, boring moves, can't understand the accent
I agree with "Just Another Girl's" 2/2007 review
It was hard to hear them, most of it was a documentary, though you can watch only the dance part. It takes place on a beach with a DJ, the titles block the feet & the dances were all boring to see though obviously easy to do. The moves are: "part the crowd", "swing song", "nature dances". "step away", "air force one", "and one", "Santa Bounce, "Badda Dance."
If you want more complicated dance moves & better teaching, try "How Fi Dance Reggae" it blows this one away.
You can see clips of this on youtube & the other title as well.
Rating: - I will be watching it repeatedly
I liked the music even if it was the same beats over and over. And the dancehall queen bonus was good but I think they should have added more of that. The dance instructions were good. Some were too basic.
My major beef with this flick, is the sound. I am usually good with understanding accents but I am totally confused on this one. Thats why I am going to have to watch it several times. I had to turn it up to hear them but still couldn't hear them because then the voices started vibrating in the tv. ugh! Some subtitles would have been great!!
At any rate, this is worth buying!

Rating: - Good DVD
This dvd serves a double purpose.......learnin how to dance and a nice workout....You'll get step by step instruction on how to do the dances....but if you wanna learn more of the latest dances without instruction...then you need to search the underground circuit for titles like "passa passa" or "hot monday" or "dutty fridaze"......but this is a great intro to learning how to dance to dancehall.......it will get you started
Rating: - Wow...What's all the hype about!?
Not Impressed, not even a little bit. I was so excited when I got this in the mail....BUT, very very disappointed after viewing it. I completely mis-understood the purpose of this DVD. I thought it was more focused towards teaching Dancehall style moves. I don't find it the least bit instructional in any way. It looks like some sort of strange aerobics on the beach. I can honestly say I have never seen anyone doing any of these dance moves in any of the clubs within 100 miles of where I live (near DC). Most of the dances are shown in 1 or 2 minute clips. The majority of the DVD is documentary and interviews. (and kinda hard to understand what they are saying)
Sorry for the bad review, but, I don't want anyone else to have the same fabulous expectation of instruction and then be disappointed by this cheaply made disc. (seriously, it is cheap)
