- Great for Bobby Darin fansDarin is in total command, coming off as the veteran of the two in spite of his young age. His poise and talent and charisma just hit you right between the eyes.
To put this is historical perspective the duet was taped days after President Kennedy was assasinated, making it a challenge for both stars to concentrate (and in fact Garland was so distraught she missed all the rehearsals prior to taping).
If you can find the DVD with the entire episode it's better; it shows the outake of the duet in addition to two powerful Darin gospel numbers, presumably chosen because of the tragic events of the week.
