- All business and a little funThis is a nice mix of a solid business like design with a nod to fun with the audio/video and photo keys. The keys are nicely laid out with the left keys taking care of photo functions like zoom, rotate and bringing up your photo editor and the right keys controlling your media application. The extra functions built into the F keys are well thought out too and very flexible. Keyboard feel is great and much better than anything else I've used. The keys are solid and have a nice amount of throw.
I've had a Logitech Mx700 that I basically wore out. I like the feel of this keyboard much better. But the mouse is not quite as good. I like the larger MX700 mouse better and surprisingly I even like my small Logitech portable mouse better as well. This mouse is kind of an awkward blend between fingertip and palm control size that doesn't do either of them as well - but you can use it either way. Its not bad, but not quite as good as the great keyboard.
Another minor shortcoming is the strength of the wireless signal. I find the working distance more limited that my MX700. You won't have any problem on your desk, but I think I'd look elsewhere if you want to work this from across the room. On the other hand it is a clever design as you can easily unplug the mini receiver and transfer it quickly to your laptop.
Overall, I'm glad I got it.

- What are the complaints about??After reading several reviews, I finally decided to go with this LX 710. Generally when i do research for items, I look at overall review rating, then I go straight to the 1 or 2 star rating. Why? To see if the negative reviews are actually legit in what they are saying. If it's anything like the letters are too small or the mouse is too narrow or anything subjective like that, I usually disregard them because they are subjective review and the reviewer usually sounds like they're trying to find something wrong with the product.
Based on the way the keyboard is laid out, constructed, designed and functions, I'd give this keyboard 10 stars if I could. It's a great keyboard with awesome response time. There is no lag as I write this review right now. Given, I don't type at 3 million words per minute like some other people do but for most everyday users like myself looking for an updated, clean functional piece of hardware, I would totally recommend this to anyone looking for an upgrade to their wired periphs.
So in all honesty, forget the 1 or 2 star reviews on here. Get this keyboard. You'll love it!

- Longest Wireless range i've come across!like the subject says, with this wireless desktop, i can be clear across the room and still able to use the mouse & keyboard without flakey response. and with the mouse being a Laser type, I can use it on any surface.

- Great Product!I love this product! It works well, has great range, and is fully functional! My wife's favorite features are the multi-media buttons. We watch lots of TV shows and movies from our media computer on our HDTV, so it works great! And... you gotta LOVE the price!!!
If I had a complaint, it would only be that the mouse doesn't work on all surfaces... but then again, what mouse does??? So it's really not against this particular combo, just mice in general.
