Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The Shield
Fantastic as always! Only problem is there's not enough of them and they are never released quick enough!!!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Compulsive Viewing
My husband and I caught season one of The Shield on British satellite TV and were immediately hooked by the gritty drama and powerful storylines. The ensemble cast showed tremendous acting talent in depth and we waited for more to be shown. We were chagrined to learn we had missed the first five seasons on terrestrial TV and were pleased to discover a video rental mail-order service where we could catch seasons 2 to 4. Season 6 was airing on TV, which left us with season 5 to find. Thank heaven for Amazon!

This is not a show for the squeamish, nor for the sensitive or for those who never swear. The fast pace of the plot is unrelenting, the violence is brutal and frighteningly realistic. The heroes are . . . well . . . there are no heroes. Not if you like your goodies above reproach and your baddies suitably evil. Here, we enter a world where almost everyone is corrupt in their fashion, only, some you approve of their actions and others you don't.

It is rare for a series to be so thought-provoking and so challenging, yet to be so thoroughly entertaining as well. I'm really more of a Jane Austen sort, but I found The Shield to be thoroughly compulsive viewing.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - So good it's hard to believe.
I don't think there's a more addictive show out there. If you're thinking about this season you've probably seen the previous four and I really don't need to tell you anything else other than it's still of that incredible standard. In fact, I don't think I've seen a show that I'd give five stars for five seasons. As cop shows go, the only thing to compare is The Wire, but calling it a cop show diminishes it. This season becomes Shakespearean in dimension, and you realize what you're watching is a vast tragedy. You know it can only end one way, and as much as he deserves it, it's amazing how much you still want Vic Mackey to somehow make it through. In that place, where churches are turned into holding cages and interrogation rooms, can we still hope for redemption?

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - can it get any more intense?!
FIRST OFF, you can't just watch this season without having watched...nay! i mean OWN your own copies of the other previous seasons. That being said, each season deals with a theme conscience and the destruction that follows after every action to heal it. Im not going to give a synopsis of the show, cause i'd only be remiss. WATCH IT! WATCH THE WHOLE SHOW! Its not that many episodes to catch up! NOW!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Waiting..waiting for season 6
The by far best show on television that i don't even watch {tv i mean..i wait for the dvd's} anyone have any info on season six on dvd, season five was released in March and i getting worried.
