- Oh - that's why I needed a doorI was glad to find a battery for this phone that didn't cost more than the phone did originally. I couldn't understand at first why the battery came with a door, but I was still spending less money. Well the battery works great - holds the charge for a good long time. However, it's much thicker than the original battery - thus the need for a new door. It doesn't matter to me, but if you are especially fond of your LGVX5300 because of it's slim and lightweight design, you may not want this particular battery.
