Video Games : Wii Wireless Sensor Bar

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Sensor Bar
I really don't know if this product is any better than the one that comes with the Wii.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Does what should, but stupid design
The sensor bar that comes with the wii is powered by the wire plugged into the back. It would really make sense if someone (Nintendo? Hello?) simply offered an external a/c or battery power source the wire from the bundeled remote could be plugged into. Anyway, that doesn't exist. This sensor bar works just fine, but the design is quite stupid. Once on, you can select an automatic shutoff time 1 hour, 2 hour or none. So far so good. Once the time is up, an alarm goes off. Fine. But the alarm (which is extremely annoying) will sound for FIVE MINUTES before the thing with automatically shutoff. If you've forgotten about it and moved on to other activities, it DEMANDS your attention. If you want to continue playing, you really can't stand listening to the thing for the time it takes to pause your game. A polite beep every 30 seconds would have been sufficient. Also, there's a VERY BRIGHT blue LED power light on the front of the bar; you'll have to cover it with black tape .... Anyway, for the price it does what it should, too bad the design was so thoughtless and user unfriendly.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Could be better.
I bought this at Best Buy and returned it the next day. I wanted a wireless bar because I sometimes will bring this to non-Wii friends' houses. The reason I returned it is because I wanted to use the already attached stand on my LCD TV but when I used the included adapter, the unit fell off within 5 minutes. I think I could of used it on the bottom but I am stubborn. There is another wireless unit on the market and according to the review posted previously about if you need a wireless, I might try it out. Good luck, and I hope you found this useful.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Does the job, but not for long.
Gotta say, I was excited when I saw this product. I ran out and bought it -- set it up and was instantly pleased at the "plug and play" nature of the wireless sensor bar.

I was VERY upset, however, when my wireless bar was COMPLETELY DEAD after just a few months of use. New batteries and a product reset was ineffective.

Hopefully Nintendo will come out with their own wireless sensor bar.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Its Good and Bad....
You see, the sensor bar has its pros and cons

Pros
Makes the whole sensor bar experience easier without the wire connecting it. (My cats always chewed on it)
Easy to turn on, just push a button

Cons
Very limited battery life, an hour of playing will denote the need for four more batteries which.....
Are very hard to put in the bar thing.
More than ten feet away makes the wii glove dance and skip around almost all the time, except for when the batteries are fresh, which is only for five minutes or so.
