Although new to QuickBooks, I quickly realized I made a HUGE mistake after shelling out hundreds of dollars. I was clearly promised tax forms, which it WILL NOT print. It will only print the recipient's info, not the actual form itself. Every call I've made for help has always ended up with, We're sorry!, you didn't purchase tech support so we can't assist you"
QuickBooks is NOT new user friendly no matter what any accountant says! Intuit offers them big discounts to use their products and it makes it easier when their clients also use the same software. What a crock!

I already knew QuickBooks was a good software. The vendor got it to me in a timely manner and the price was right...

I purchased QuickBooks Pro 2008 several months ago, because it is supposed to be the best out there for small businesses. I have been trying since then to get it to work -- without any success. Each time I tried an installation, something else would go wrong. I would give up in frustration, uninstall and clean my registry to remove all traces, and set it aside to try again later, only to find yet another problem the next time I attempted an install.
I am not a computer novice... I have been in tech support in the past and consider myself a pretty savvy user. I've tried to install the program on two different Vista computers (it is supposed to be 100% Vista compatible), and have received everything from .NET errors to the inability of the install to find Flash 8 on my system (I did have Flash 9 at the time). So I removed Flash 9, installed Flash 8, got the .NET stuff working, followed every guideline and help I could find at quickbooks.com/support, and prepared myself to try again.
This most recent time I bypassed Flash detection in the install, and it seemed at least to finally install successfully -- but when I tried to launch the program I got "Unrecoverable Error Code: 00000 38772" and it crashed again.
Parallel to all these installation attempts, I've also been on a fruitless search to find a tech support phone number to call somebody. They do have a contact form on their website and will give you a Case ID number, but here's a tip: Don't try it with Firefox. The form only works with Internet Explorer. So I finally got through, spent more than half an hour on the phone with India, experiencing what another reviewer wrote about repeated "please hold" and "please wait while I check that" comments, only to be told that he did not have any record of the error code I received, and I would have to "subscribe" to their tech support service in order for him to help me further.
That's it -- I'm finished, and I'm going back to Quicken, which has never failed me. So, anybody want an unregistered copy of QuickBooks Pro? It's only slightly damaged from my throwing it against the wall a few times.

Ordered this CD on line with no hassle. Very easy. CD came within a few days and have been using it for the past month with no problems.
Seller was very quick to get it out to me and it got here in good shape.

It's getting harder and harder to find product reviews on Amazon. I had to scroll down almost 3 pages of Intuit plugging and product description just to find the first review. Apparently, Amazon seems to be forgetting a little bit just what made it so popular.
In any event, I'll keep it short. I ordered Quickbooks Pro 2008 and installed it. And, at the end of the install process, what do you think pops up? A window asking me to call Intuit. Yes, I could NOT USE the software that I PAID FOR without calling Intuit ON THE PHONE and registering my product only after giving them all sorts of information about myself AND MY BUSINESS!!!
I called and quickly told them that I was sending the software back. I think I spoke to someone in India or something.
I'll go and find accounting software that doesn't require me calling the company and giving all sorts of personal information about myself and my business.
