- Awesome console! A must have for any Halo fan!I had been putting off buying an xbox 360 for quite a while and was basically waiting for Halo 3 to come out, and when I saw them releasing this It was a perfect reason for me to go out and get one. The color scheme is awesome, it matches the Cheif's armor exactly. I havent downloaded the exclusive Halo 3 theme for the dashboard yet, but im sure that it will be xtra sweet.
I had a little trouble at first with the play-and-charge kit, but I think i know what the trick is now, you have to have it plugged into the xbox before you turn it off if you want the battery to charge the first time. It took quite a while to charge initially....
Overall, AWESOME system, PS3 eat your heart out.

- Middle Consol of Xbox'sI didn't own an Xbox 360 and I only bought it to play Halo 3, so what better way to play with the Special Edition themed Xbox? Not only does this Halo 3 themed Xbox look sick, it's also another alternative to deciding if you should upgrade to the elite and coughing out extra dollars. With its HDMI split cord, you can plug this into any TV on the go (HD or Regular), and have great looking results. Not only that but the package also includes a recharger for the also Halo 3 themed controller, which is a nice add on. Even if you aren't a Halo Fan, this console is the great alternative for having to spend extra to upgrade to the elite 120 GB hard drive, but some of us don't need that kind of storage. With its all around good looks and upgrades, this is something to look out for while you can.
FYI: There are still some reports out there that these Xbox's get the Red Ring of Death, mainly because of overheating, but they are FEW.

- BUMMER!Well, I had high hopes after watching my coworker go through hell with his 360. I received mine today (my coworker ordered and received one today as well, after giving up on his old one)opened it up, plugged it in and started my set-up, only to be greeted with 2 of 4 red lights of the "Ring of Death". My new Xbox 360 Halo 3 Special Edition w/ HDMI is FUBAR. Thankfully Amazon already has another on the way, and I will be at the post office returning this dead soldier (Spartan?).

- Awesome, awesome and awesome!I bought this system the other day because I have been putting off buying an Xbox360 for a while now. This pushed me over the edge to buy it. This system is free of flaws (red rings of death, overheating) and has an HDMI port to it. I'm about to get an LCD HDTV so am loving having that option. Also, this system is so quiet and runs so smoothly. This is the same system as the normal premium only for the Halo fans. The color scheme of this system is what made me want to buy it before I knew it was a Halo 3 system. Buy this system if you're wanting a new XBOX or just love Halo that much.
