DVD : Magnificent Desolation - Walking on the Moon (IMAX) |
- Glad to see it available on DVDI went to see this movie at the pink palace IMAX in memphis and it was fantastic, I remember commenting after the show how it would be great on dvd and worthy of purchase. It was educational and had some great humor as well.

- Great MovieFor all those who "believe" that man didn't go to the moon, see this movie and get educated. This is the best documentary on the moon missions that I have see and I really admire Tom Hanks and Mark Cowen for making this DVD possible. I also recommend "In the Shadow of the Moon".

- CGI Promo FilmDisappointing. I had hoped for actual photos and images from the Apollo missions, but found mostly computer generated images. The best real stuff, and the majority of it, is in the end credits. The bonus material is anemic. If you are looking for something to get pre-teens excited about going back to the moon, show them this. If you are someone that grew up in the early days of space travel, as I did, don't waste you time or money.

- Amazing.Although a couple of scenes are missing from the Home version, and it is cropped from its native IMAX aspect Ratio to be seen on HDTV, it is still the very best film about the moon, the people who worked to get there, the history, and the future. You will be amazed!!!
If you want to see the ORIGINAL FILM, in IMAX 3D, you should visit Kenedy Space Center, Florida, or your local IMAX theater which offers IMAX 3D. YOU WILL SEE, HEAR, FEEL, EXPERIENCE EVERYTHING!!!

- Quite disappointingI'd like to rate this 2-1/2 stars. I saw it at the IMax theatre at the Kennedy Space Center. I was quite disappointed. Only a small portion of the film was in IMax - the part that was to give you a feel for what it is like to walk on the Moon. The majority of it was just standard stuff.
