Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 track is Amazing!!!
A remarkable achievement by any measure, and certainly the finest sounding Vivaldi release in years. Obviously the 7.1 Master Audio mix has more of one but it also comes across great on a 5.1 setup.
A great not disturbing nature image slideshow to go along with the music but this one isn't really one to watch. Leave the projector off, and just turn on the player and receiver, and you have world greatest music, performance and sound.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - So disappointed!
The music is great, I'll give it that much. My daughter is OBSESSED with Vivaldi and I bought this because I thought it was going to show a CONCERT with live performers. We were sorely disappointed when we put the video in to discover there was no live concert! We already have Vivaldi's Four Seasons on 500 different CDs...we did NOT need an HD DVD with sound only *eyeroll* What's more annoying is that it took 3 tries to buy the "right" HD DVD player to play this video and then it's just music :P Unless it's just music you want, I wouldn't buy this DVD and I agree, the cover is VERY misleading >:-\

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Well done, keep them coming!
For audio only material (as opposed to movies on DVD-Video), I like this approach, to which we have become accustomed in the music formats like DVD-Audio.

In summary, this is an excellent first classical 7.1 Audio release. David Juritz's performance on this recording is simply scintillating and orchestra have turned in a first class performance and the recording and production allow it to shine. A seven-channel, 96kHz/24-bit original, this does what surround sound should, in my opinion: supply ambient, atmospheric information from the rear of the hall without in any way 'pulling' the frontal image. Very nicely balanced, it is a first-rate example of how multi-channel recording can provide a more lifelike experience.

- but of more significance is that the disc is an original recording, made with multichannel reproduction in mind, and that it's playable on the next generation players. And that last pont should ensure it finds its way into many a collection that the lure of advanced audio formats has so far passed by.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Cover of HD DVD Misleading
I purchased this title in the hopes of seeing a live symphony orchestra playing the "Four Seasons". What I got instead was a slide show. If the visuals were actual film of the countryside subjects presented it might have been pretty good. However the images are static and not very involving. The music one the other hand is quite good. The soundtrack is in surrond (they used a double orchestras) and it does a good job of giving a sense of being at the performance. Too bad the visuals don't match up with the music.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Emphasis is on audio - a slideshow - not a video experience
The music is fine but the visuals are dissappointing - nice but unimpressive. With so much movement in the music one might expect to have some visuals that are choreographed to match. I assumed a high definition DVD would show the symphony playing live - that would have been more appealing to me. This is a slide show set to music. Lacks visual impact even when projected in high def on a nine foot wide screen.
